Return or Exchange Policy
We offer a 14-day return or exchange policy on most stock-items*.
You may exchange or return for refund or store credit, an item to us within 14-days of the date you received it. Any refunds or store credits granted are on the item price only and does not include any shipping or additional costs on original order, nor does it include any subsequent shipping and additional fees and charges to facilitate an exchange or return.
Items returned must be in "purchased" condition. This means you have not used, assembled, plugged in or fit any of the items. Products that have been fitted for fault finding purposes, will be deemed to have been used and will not be eligible for a full refund or exchange.
Items must be returned secured and to us at any time within 14 days of receipt of the item from us along with the receipt or proof of purchase.
Any exchange, full or partial refund will be at our discretion and determined after the item has been returned and inspected by us. We reserve the right to refuse a claim if we determine that our exchange or return policy conditions have not been met by you.
Please inspect your order upon receipt and contact us immediately if the item is defective, damaged or if you receive the wrong item, so that we can evaluate the issue immediately.
Most of our products come with a manufacturer's warranty. The details will be specific to each product and will vary depending on the items purchase condition. Please contact us if you have any queries regarding the items warranty period prior to completing your order.
Returns are available on faulty items within the supplier's warranty period. To find out the warranty period, please ask us before placing your order. These returns must be authorised, with the fault accurately described to us as a part of the authorisation process.
*Out of stock items and special-order items that are not usually stocked are unable to be returned or exchanged. If you have questions or concerns about your specific item, please contact us prior to making a purchase.
*Aftermarket products: All purchases are eligible for a refund within 30 days of purchase, provided the product is in its original condition and packaging. Please note that aftermarket products only comes with a 3-month warranty for any manufacturing defects.
We define a stock-item as a product which we keep in stock in our warehouse. It is the customer's sole responsibility to check with us if an item is a stock-item or not before placing their order.
It is the customer’s responsibility to determine if a product is fit for purpose prior to ordering, and to provide correct and complete identifying information to our staff. As such, a customer's at-fault purchase of an incorrect item, or if a customer has a change of mind, will be subject to a restocking fee of 20% in addition to any other charges outlined in this policy.
In the rare case where Electric Laundry Repair (1988) Limited is found, proven and demonstrated to be at-fault for the provision of a not fit-for-purpose product, a return can be facilitated through the usual return authorisation process.

Before returning any item, please ensure you contact us at admin@elrnz.co.nz. Any items returned without prior authorisation may be ineligible for exchange or refund.
